Man kills 2 month old son at Bikram, Patna, for dowry

Patna : Dilip Soni alias Guddu, 27, son of late Krishna Seth, a native of village Tumma in Rohtas district, allegedly strangulated his 2 month old child Lakshya to death at Bikram Bazaar under Bikram police station in Patna district in the wee hours on August 13, 2018, after his in- laws failed to meet his demand for more dowry. His wife Khusboo Kumari has lodged an FIR with Bikram police station in this connection. Bikram is 33 km away from Patna.

SHO, Bikram police station, said that Dilip Soni is absconding after killing his child. Khusboo, daughter of Maherndra Soni of Bikram Bazaar, was married to Dilip Soni 2 years back. Her parents had also given adequate dowry to her in-laws. But, soon after her marriage, Dillip and his family members started torturing Khusboo for more dowry.

Fed up with her physical and mental torture, Khusboo had returned to her parental house at Bikram 1 month back. Dilip reached at his in- laws’ place on August 10. He killed his son at 3 am on August 13 and escaped on his bike. Dip is a drunkard.
