Munger: One Anjani Kumar was on Tuesday sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment  by the court of ADJ-V, Munger,  Jyoti Swaroop Srivastava, for  killing  person on September 3, 2012. The court also slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 on him 80% which would be paid to the family of deceased and the remaining will be deposited in the account of the state  exchequer.

Anjani Kumar, resident of village Chandpura under Naya Ramnagar police station in Munger district, 13 km east of Munger town, was found guilty under section 302 IPC and 27 Arms Act on Monday by the court. The accused was also  sentenced to three years RI with a fine of Rs 25,000 under section 27 Arms Act.One  The amount of fine will be paid as above, the court said.

According to prosecution story, Chandrabhushan Singh, a milkman of the same village, was shot at by accused Anjani on September 3, 2012, at 7 pm when he was gong to supply milk to his customer. Chandrabhushan was rushed to sadar hospital by the villagers where he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.The police registered a case against Anjani on the fardbayan of Chandrabhushan’ wife Premlata Devi, who said that her husband had protested  eve teasing in the village by the accused. The accused had threatened Chandrabhushan after it and later shot at him with an intention to kill him, she had alleged in the FIR.
