Ara : A middleage person was electrocuted to death near village Bhagwanpur under Pawana police station in Bhojpur District on October 2, 2020, morning. Irate villagers blocked Ara-Sahar main road with the body paralysing the movement of vehicles for about two hours. They raised slogans against the officials of the South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited demanding a compensation of Rs 20 lakhto the next of kin of the deceased.
The blockade was lifted after positive response from the police officials. The deceased was identified as Bindeshwari Singh alias Mandal Singh. Later, police recovered the body and brought it over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
SHO, Pawana police station,said that Bindeshwari Singh had gone to the field at the village on October 2, 2020, morning, for an agricultural work of the village when he came in contact with live electric wire and was electrocuted to death on the spot.
