Ara : Police arrested a man for allegedly raping his daughter for a about a month including on June 2, 2021, night, at a village under Dhobaha Police Outpost in Bhojpur District in South Bihar. Whenever the girl protested, he thrashed her and also threatened her with dire consequences. When the matter came out of closet, police arrested man and sent him to jail.
Later, police brought the girl over to Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination and produced her before an Ara court on June 4, 2021, to get her statement recorded under Section 164 of CrPC.
The survivor informed police that her father forced her to sleep with him and whenever she protested, he thrashed and threatened her with dire consequences. He raped her for about a month, the girl alleged. She further said that he raped her on June 2, 2021, night too, but this time she lost patience and reached police station along with her frightened mother and narrated her ordeal before police and also lodged a named FIR against her father. The police officials informed Bhojpur SP Rakesh Kumar Dubey about the incident and on his direction arrested the accused father and sent him to jail.
