Man arrested for child trafficking, villagers rescue 8 kids in Saharsa

Sahaesa : The residents of Turki Narhaia Musahari tola under Simri Bakhtiarpur police station in Saharsa district on April 21, 2017, morning, caught a criminal Madan Sada, a native of village Itahara – Rampur under Baijnathpur police outpost, when he was taking eight children of the village with him allegedly to sale them outside Bihar. The villagers first thrashed him and then handed him over to police.

Madan Sada was roaming around Musahari tola for the last three posing as beggar and befriending children by giving them toffee and on April 21 he was taking them outside. Police have registered a case against Madan Sada in this connection on the basis of complaint lodged by a member of Child Helpline.

SHO, Simri Bakhtiarpur, Umakant Kamat, said that Madan Sada had been arrested and sent to jail. The SHO said that it was the first case of child trafficking in the area. Police interrogated Madan Sada besides gathering information from rescued children including three kids of Arjun Sada. Sarpancha, Tariyam Panchayat, Vishnudev Yadav, said that when some women asked Madan Sada where he was taking the children he started abusing them.  This alerted them.
