Motihari : East Champaran police on December 9, 2017, made a major breakthrough in the murder of Chhotu Jaiswal, younger son of Motihari Congress leader Munmun Jaiswal, by arresting a Ward Councillor Chandan Singh and Subodh Yadav in this connection. Police also seized the Alto car and bike used in the crime besides the cellphone and clothes of the assailants.
Giving this information, East Champaran SP Upendra Kumar said that Chhotu Jaiswal was killed at Gyanbabu Chowk, Motihari, at 10 am on November 25, 2017. The SP said that police investigated the case in a scientific manner and found that a Ward Councillor and a politician were also involved in the conspiracy to kill Chhotu Jaiswal. Police are conducting raids to arrest another ten persons involved in the crime. Land dispute is said to be the reason behind the murder of Chhotu Jaiswal, said police sources.
