Patna : World No 103 Luksika Kumkhum, 25, Thailand, and World No 165 Irina Khromacheva, 23, Russia, reached the final of WTA Mumbai Open November 3, 2018. They will clash in the final on November 4.

Kumkhum beat World No 110 Margarita Gasparyan, 24, Russia, 6-2, 6-4 in the semi-finals on November 3 night at Cricket Club of India, Mumbai. Both the players served 1 Ace each. But, Kumkhum won 6 break points to 3 by Margarita. Kumkhum won 4 games in a row in the match while Margarita won 3. Kumkhum’s winning percentage on both her first and second serve was better than that of her Russian opponent.

Khromacheva beat World No 73 and 2017 runners-up Dalila Jakupovic, 27, Slovenia, 6-4, 7-5 in the first semi-finals on November 3. Khromacheva, however, committed 7 double faults in the match to 3 by Dalila. She served 2 Aces while Dalila served one. But, Khromacheva won 5 break points to 3 by Dalila. The Russian won 5 games in a row in the match to 3 by Dalila.
