Ara : Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power, New and Renewable Energy and BJP MP from Ara Raj Kumar Singh inaugurated the first ever Lifeline Express Train of India at Ara railway station under Danapur Division of East Central Railway (ECR), Hajipur, on September 16, 2018. The train will stay here till October 7, 2018. This is the first ever Hospital on Wheel to treat the helpless, needy and poor. The experts from Mumbai, Delhi and Varanasi will treat them free of cost. This project has been organized jointly by Bihar Government and Railways supported by Mahindra and Mahindra under the banner of Impact India Foundation.
Addressing the gathering, Union Minister R K Singh said that the Lifeline Express equipped with latest technology and expert doctors from different fields, is a dream project of the Central Government for the benefits of the poor and the needy. He said that anyone wishing to get herself or himself examined, may get registered at the registration centres at Sadar Hospital, Ara, Krishi Bhawan, and Red Cross Society before going for medical examination. He said operation facilities of some ailments are also available free of cost and added the persons undergoing operation will have free medicine, food with residential facility and an attendant.
Anil Darsh, Incharge, Lifeline Express Train, said that the people will be treated for dental, mouth, jaw, eye, ear, nose, throat ailments, besides blood sugar, High and Low Blood Pressure, epilepsy, breast and uterus cancer. Cataract, jaw, and ear and other operations will also be performed by the doctors, he said.
