Li Chun-Yi wins Yonex US Open title

Patna : World No 122 Li Chun-Yi, Chinese Taipei,  upset World No 56 Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk, Thailand, in final to win men’s singles titles at Yonex US Open, an HSBC BWF World Tour Super 300 event, at Titan Gym, Fullerton, California, USA, on July 14, 2019, night.

Li beat Tanongsak 21-10, 21-13 in 30 minutes in the final to clinch the singles title and 7,000 points. Li won 42 rallies in the match to 23 by Tanongsak. He also 9 consecutive points to 3 by Tanongsak, who secured 5,950 points. Sourabh Verma, India, got 4,900 points for reaching the SFs of the tournament.
