Bagaha : A leopard came out from Valmiki tiger reserve (VTR) on February 12 morning and pounced on a farmer Banarasi Das,  35, of village Tharhi  in West Champaran district, when he was watching his field near the forest under Valmikinagar police station and seriously injured him. Hearing cries of Das, villagers rushed to his rescue following which the leopard ran away towards forest.  Valmikinagar forests range officer RK Sinha said that the injured farmer was admitted to Primary health centre (PHC), Valmikinagar, where his condition is stable.
