Kathmandu : Nepal’s Left alliance is heading towards majority in the parliamentary elections winning 93 seats so far and leading on another 22 in the historic polls that can  bring political stability to the country.

The CPN-UML led by former premier K P Oli and the CPN- Maoist led by former premier Prachanda have forged electoral alliance for both the provincial and parliamentary elections.

The Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninist (CPN- UML) has won 68 seats and was leading on 12 while its alliance partner CPN Maoist- Centre has bagged 25 seats and leading on 10 seats. Ruling Nepali Congress has won 14 seats and leading on 7.

The Federal Socialist Forum Nepal (FSFN) led by Upendra Yadav has won five seats and leading on 4. The Rastriya Janata Party (RJP) led by Mahanta Thakur too has won 5 seats and leading on another 6. Naya Shakti Party led by former prime minister Baburam Bhattarai has won one seat while the RPP has won one seat and leading on one. The elections were held on November 26 and December 7, 2017. An Independent has also bagged a seat.
