Lakshya Sen, the bronze medal winner at BWF World Championships a few weeks back, beat World No 57 Felix Burestedt, 26, Sweden, in straight games 21-12, 21-15 in 41 minutes in Round of 16. Lakshya won 42 points during the match to 27 points by Felix. He also won 6 consecutive points during the match to 3 by Felix.
8th seed H S Prannoy reached the quarter-finals on walkover as his opponent Mithun Manjunath, 23, India, retired before the match.
