KXIP score 174/6 against MI in IPL

Patna : Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) score 174 /6 in 20 overs against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 34th match of IPL this season at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore, MP, on May 4, 2018, night, riding on a 40 ball 50 with 6 fours and 2 sixes by opener Chris Gayle. Earlier, MI won the toss but opted to bowl.

Gayle’s opening partner Lokesh Rahul made 24 in 20 balls with a four and 2 sixes. They were involved in 54 run stand for the first wicket. Karun Nair made 23 in 12 balls hitting 1 four and 2 sixes. Yuvraj Singh was run out for 14 hitting a six while spinner Axar Patel scored 13. Marcus Stoinis, Australia, remained unbeaten on 29 in 15 balls hitting 2 fours and 2 sixes. Mayank Agarwal was out for 11. KXIP scored 49 runs in madatory power play ( six overs).

For MI,  Jasprit Bumrah, Mitchell McClenaghan, Hardik Pandya, Mayank Markande, and Ben Cuttings took one wicket each. Hardik Pandya was their most expensive bowler taking 1/44 in 4 overs while Bumrah took 1/19 in 4 overs.
