Patna : Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) were all out for 88 in 15.1 overs against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 48th match of IPL 2018 at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore, MP, on May 14 night riding on superb bowling by their fast bowler Umesh Yadav ably supported by pacers Mohammad Siraj and Colin de Grandhomme, 31, New Zealand. Spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Moeen Ali, England, also took one wicket each. Umesh Yadav took 3/23 in 4 overs. Grandhomme and Siraj took one wicket each.

RCB won the toss but opted to bowl. The KXIP openers Lokesh Rahul and Chris Gayle gave a good start to the team. But, Rahul and Gayle got out in quick succession to Umesh Yadav. Rahul made 21 hitting 3 sixes while Gayle made 18 hitting 4 fours. Aaron Finch, Australia, was the highest scorer for KXIP making 26 runs 2 sixes and a four. Axal Patel remained not out on 9 in 13 ball. Three KXIP batsmen : captain Ravichandra Ashwin, Mohit Sharma, and Ankit Rajpoot were un out. Ashwin was run out without scoring. The first KXIP wicket fell when the score was 36 and the second on 41.
