Patna : Seventh seed Petra Kvitova, 30, Czech Republic, and Laura Siegemund, 32, Germany, advanced to the women’s singles quarter-finals at French Open on October 5, 2020. They will clash in the QFs on October 7, 2020.
Kvitova, who won the Wimbledon singles titles in 2011 and 2014, beat unseeded Zhang Shuai, China, 6-2, 6-4 in 4th round at Philippe-Chatrier court, Roland Garros, Paris, France. Siegemund beat Paula Badosa Gibert , 22, Spain, 7-5, 6-2 in 4th round. The German won 5 break points in the match to 2 by Badosa. Siegemund also won 6 games in a row to 2 by the Spainiard. The German won 76 points to 64 by Badosa.
