Saharsa : Ramanand Yadav, known as terror of Kosi Division, and two others were killed while four others were injured in an ambush by members of Manoj Sada gang near Kali Temple at village Kalwara Belahi under Chirya police outpost in Saharsa District in North Bihar on April 8, 2020, evening.
The assailants, wh0 were in police uniform, fired indiscriminately on Ramanand Yadav and his associates when they were returning home. Over one hundred rounds were fired from both the sides during encounter. The place of occurrence is located on Saharsa-Khagaria border. Sources said the member of Manoj Sada had done a recce and were following the movement of Ramanand Yadav and his associates since April 8 noon. Ramanand Yadav sustained over a dozen bullet wounds in the incident. Ramanand Yadav was carrying a battle for supremacy with naxalites in Kosi riverine belt for the last several years.
Saharsa SP Rakesh Kumar, however, confirmed the killing of only Ramanand Yadav in the incident.
