Patna : Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) restricted Delhi Capitals (DC) to just 135/5 run in 20 overs in IPL Qualifier 2 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah, UAE, on October 13, 2021, night, as leg spinner Varun Chakravarthy took 2/26 in 4 overs KKR had won the toss and opted to bowl.

DC scored 37 runs in last three overs including the last ball six by Shreyas Iyer off fast bowler Shivam Mavi. Earlier Shimron Hetmyer had hit fast bowler Lockie Ferguson for 2 sixes in 18th over.

Shreyas Iyer remained unbeaten on 30 in 27 balls with 1 four and 1 six. Opener Shikhar Dhawan was the top scorer for his team with 36 runs in 39 balls with 1 four and 2 sixes off spinner Sunil Narine. Batting first, DC started well with their openers Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan adding 32 runs in 4.1 overs. But, Shaw fell to Varun Chakravarthy for 18 in 12 balls with 2 fours and 1 six. All-rounder Marcus Stoinis fell to Shivam Mavi for 18 in 23 balls with 1 four making it 71/2.

Dhawan fell to Varun Charavarthy for 36 making it 83/3 after 14.1 overs. Captain Rishabh Pant fell to a bouncer by fast bowler Lockie Ferguson for 6 making it 90/4. Shimron Hetmyer was run out for 17 and it was 117/5 after 18.3 overs.
