Ara : Panic gripped the people in and around village Bakari under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur District in South Bihar on April 12, 2021, evening, after killing of two persons at the village. The deceased were identified as Degree Chaudhary, 80,of Bakari village, and Mutur Yadav of Gyanchak village under Udwantnagar police station.

Police brought the bodies over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Police are investigating the matter. Degree Chaudhary was guarding his mango garden on the outskirts of Bakari village when Mutur Yadav alias Pagla of Gyanchand village, said to be mentally unstable, came and got involved in quarrel with Degree Chaudhary. Later, he beat Degree Chaudhary to death and burnt him in his field.

Meanwhile someone saw it and the news spread like wildfire at the village. The villagers gathered and caught Mutur Yadav. The mob also thrashed him and allegedly set him ablaze at the same place. Mutur Yadav had earlier allegedly killed his wife and also made murderous attempt on his son though no FIR was lodged with police in this connection.
