Patna : Shrikrishna Science Centre (SSC), Patna, a unit of National Council of Science Museums, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, organised `Innovation Festival’ for the first time on its campus for the school and college students and grassroot innovators on January 19  and 20, 2017.

Around 50 innovators with 35 projects from different schools, colleges, student members of Innovation Hub, Shrikrishna Science Centre and grassroot innovators from different parts of Bihar participated and showcased their ideas through scientific creations / models etc. Prof. R K Verma, Pro Vice Chancellor, Patna University, inaugurated the programme on January 19.

A valedictory programme was organised on January 20 at the auditorium of Shrikrishna Science Centre. Prof Dr Ashok Kumar Ghosh, HOD Research, Mahavir Cancer Sansthan, Patna, was the guest at the valedictory programme and gave away the prizes and certificates to the winners and all participants. All the grassroot innovators were also honoured at this programme. Prof. Ghosh motivated and appreciated the students for their creative talent.

Among school students, Nilesh Raj, Kilkari, bagged first prize for his project `Noise to Electricity’ while Priyeshwara Bharati, Akash Raj, Ninakshi (Kilkari) got second prize for their project `Redefining Plastic patterns’. Arsalam Sidiqui, Arya Bothra, Arnav Sinha (DPS Patna) also got second prize for their project `Cool Building’.
