Kidnapped minor girl recovered from Khagaria

Saharsa : A minor girl, who was kidnapped on April 15, 2017, from village Thengaha under Saur Bazaar police station in Saharsa district, by one Kundan Kumar of the same village to marry her, was recovered from a temple located near Khagaria railway station on May 12, 2017. But, Kundan managed to escape.

The girl was sent to Saharsa Sadar hospital under police protection for medical examination. The family members of the girl had lodged an FIR with Saur Bazaar police station on April 15 alleging Kundan had kidnapped her. Kundan’s father was arrested in this connection, said police. Cops at Saur Bazaar police station said that Kundan had trapped the girl in his love and kidnapped her to marry her. They had tied the knot at a temple at Khagaria, police said
