Ara : A matriculation examinee, who was allegedly kidnapped from an examination centre on March 3, returned home after 14 days. Police got her examined at Ara Sadar Hospital on March 16, 2017, and her statement recorded under section 164 of CrPC at Ara Civil Court on March 17.
Rani Kumari (name changed) of village Chilhar under Azimabad police station in Bhojpur district was taking matriculation examination at a school in Nawada locality, Ara, but disappeared on March 3, 2017, evening from the gate of the examination centre. After her family members failed to locate her, her father lodged an FIR with Nawada police station on March 8 against two youth.
SHO, Nawada Police Station, Neyaz Ahamad said that after the FIR was lodged, police mounted pressure on the accused. He said that the girl confessed that the youth had taken her to Mumbai.
