Patna : Kidambi Srikanth and Lakshya Sen, both India, lost in semi-finals of Hylo Open 2021, an HSBC BWF World Tour Super 500 badminton tournament at Saarbrucken, Germany, on November 6, 2021.
Loh Kean Yew, 24, Singapore, defeated World No 21 Lakshya Sen, 20, India, in straight games 21-18, 21-12 in 46 minutes in semi-final. Yew won 42 points during the match to 30 points by Lakshya Sen. The iNdia, however, won 6 consecutive points during the match to 4 by Yew.
Second seed Lee Zii Jia, 23, Malaysia, defeated 6th seed & World No 15 Kidambi Srikanth, 28, India, in straight games 21-19, 22-20 in 44 minutes in semi-final. Lee won 43 points during the match to 39 points by Srikanth. The Malaysian World No 8 also won 7 consecutive points during the match to 5 by World N 15 Srikanth.
