Patna : West Bengal governor Keshri Nath Tripathi, who was been given additional charge of Bihar governor following resignation of incumbent Ram Nath Kovind on his nomination as NDA’s candidate for presidential poll scheduled for July 17, was on June 22, 2017, sworn in as Bihar governor at Raj Bhavan at 11 am.
Chief Justice, Patna High Court, Justice Rajendra Menon administered oath of office to Keshri Nath Tripathi in the presence of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, Deputy CM Tejaswi Yadav, Bihar assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Deputy Chairman, Bihar legislative council, Haroon Rashid, Leader of Opposition in Bihar assembly Prem Kumar and Leader of Opposition in Bihar legislative council Sushil Kumar Modi. Nath Tripathi had earlier held the post of Bihar governor from November 27, 2014, to August 15, 2015.
