Patna : Reigning Australian Open champion and 4th seed Sofia Kenin, 21, USA, beat two-time former Wimbledon Champion & 7th seed Petra Kvitova, 30, in straight sets 6-4, 7-5 in semi-finals on Philippe -Chatrier court, Roland Garros, Paris, France, on October 8, 2020, evening, to enter the women’s singles final at French Open. It will be Kenin’s first appearance at French Open final. She will face unseeded Iga Swiatek, 19, Poland, in final on October 10, 2020, at 6.30 pm.
