Patna : Sixth seed Marin Cilic, 33, Croatia, reached the men’s singles final of ATP Kremlin Cup  at Moscow, Russian, on October 23, 2021. Cilic, the 2014 US Open champion, beat World No 108 Ricardas Berankis, 31, Lithuania, in straight sets 6-3, 6-4 in semi-final on October 22, 2021.

World No 41 Cilic won 3 break points during the match to 1 by Berankis. The Croatian hammered 10 Aces during the match to none by the Lithuanian. Both the players committed 3 double faults each during the match. Both of them also won 3 games each in a row in the match. Cilic, in all, won 71 points to 59 by Berankis.

Cilic will face 2nd seed Aslan Karatsev, 28, Russia,  in final. World No 22 Karatsev beat 3rd seed & World No 31 karen Khachanov, 25, Russian, in straight sets 7-6, 6-1 in semi-final. Karatsev won 3 break points during the match to 1 by Khachanov. Karatsev won 5 games in a row during the match to 2 by Khachanov. However, Khachanov fired 8 Aces during the match to 6 by Karatsev.
