Patna:Mastermind of November 20, 2016, rail mishap at Kanpur in which 153 passengers were killed, Shamshul Hoda has been arrested by Nepal police. He was deported from Dubai on February 4, 2017, and brought to  Kathmandu.
Nepal police questioned him at Kalaiya for two consecutive days. During interrogation, he is learnt to have accepted his involvement in the mishap and admitted to have influenced the crime on instructions of ISI, Pakistan.

Hoda was handed over to Indian intelligence and security agencies on late February 6 night. Officials of NIA, Raw and IB 0have reached Kathmandu, according to official sources here.  His arrest follows arrest of a Nepali citizen Brajkoshore Giri last week and subsequent arrest of Moti Paswan and two others by NIA from East Champaran. On October 1, 2016, fish plates of rail track at Ghorasahan in East Champaran were found removed and bomb was also planted on track and a major train accident was averted by alert railway staff.
Moti Paswan and his two associated were produced before Additional district judge, designated NIA court, Patna, on February 4.NIA has got seven  days remand to question them further. Yashin Bhatkal, a notorious ISI activist, was arrested from Indo-Nepal border in 2014 and is currently lodged in Tihar jail.
