Bhabhua :Police on October 28, 2021, arrested a man in connection with rape and murder of a 10 year old girl on October 6, 2021, at village Devadhi under Adhaura police station (PS) in Kaimur District in South Bihar. The arrested man was sent to jail after interrogation.
Kaimur SP Rakesh Kumar said that the building of a school for the Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribes was being constructed at village Devadhi village under Adhaura PS and labourers were working there. October 6, 2021, one of the labourers caught a 10 year old girl living beside the school and outraged her modesty on the campus of the under-construction school, the SP said. The labourer allegedly also inserted hot iron rod into the mouth of the girl and killed her, smashed the body, and set it ablaze, the SP said.
An FIR was lodged with Adhaura police station in this connection. On the basis of the FIR, police arrested two labourers : Abdul Qurban and Md Murshid and sent them to jail. The SP further said that with the CCTV footage and other scientific investigation, it came to light that Musidur Alam had outraged modesty of the girl and killed her. Later, police arrested him and sent him to jail.
