Bhabhua : Police arrested a man from village Saraiya under Bhagwanpur police station in Kaimur district on October 3, 2020, for allegedly killing his wife with an axe. Police also seized the axe. The man was identified as Chhathu Balmiki, son of Bekahal Balmiki of Sariaya village under Bhagwanpur police station in Kaimur district. Later, police sent him to jail.
Kaimur SP Dilnawaz Ahmad said that Chhathu Balmiki had killed his wife with an axe at village Saraiya after a tiff over trivial matter on September 27, 2020,and escaped. A named FIR was lodged by Bhagwanpur police station against Chhathu Balmiki on the statement of deceased’s mother Bigani Kuer of village Susadhi under Sanjhauli police station in Rohtas district. The SP said that the deceased was the third wife of Chhathu Balmiki.
