Kaimur police arrest girl, lover for kidnapping a girl for ransom, recover girl

Bhabhua : A girl, with the help of her lover, kidnapped her friend Sangeeta Kumari, daughter of a retired armyman from village Baraitha under Mohania police station in Kaimur district on January 28, 2019, and demanded Rs 11 lakh as ransom with a threat of dire consequences if their demands were not fulfilled.

An FIR was lodged by Mohania police station on the statement of the armyman on January 29, 2019, and police arrested the girl Nisha Kumari, daughter of Manohar Ram of village Janardanpur, and her lover Binay Kumar Srivastava, son of Upendra Srivastava of Karmnasha Bazaar village under Durgawati police station in Kaimur district, on January 30, 2019

Kaimur SP Mohammad Faroguddin said that Nisha Kumari developed some relations with Binay Kumar Srivastava and wished to tie the  knot with him but their parents were not ready for the marriage and so they hatched a plan to get money and fled away from their villages after tying the knot against the wishes of their parents. To execute their plan, Nisha Kumari came in contact with Sangeeta Kumari, daughter of a retired armyman, during their travel in a Bus.

Incidentally, Nisha Kumari and Sangeeta Kumari took training in Smart Value Product and Service Limited at Mohania. Nisha Kumari took Sangeeta Kumari to her house at Janardanpur village on January 28, 2019, where she intoxicated her. Later, Binay Kumar Srivastava demanded Rs 11 lakh as ransom from the mobile of Sangeeta Kumari with a threat of to kill Sangeeta if her father failed to pay the amount.

The SP said after institution of FIR, police, on the basis of mobile surveillance, recovered Sangeeta Kumari from the house of Nisha Kumari at Janardanpur village and arrested Nisha Kumari and Binay Kumari Srivastava from Karmnasha Bazaar and seized three mobile phones from their possession.
