Motihari : BJP MPs Dr Sanjay Jaiswal and Rama Devi on Monday strongly condemned the cold blooded murder of Siwan journalist RajdeoRanjan. They demanded adequate compensation to the wife of slain journalist besides a CBI probe into his murder.
The members of Champaran press club staged demonstration at Motihari on Monday demanding CBI inquiry into the killing of Siwan journalist Rajdeo Ranjan ,immediate arrest of criminals behind the killing and Rs one crore compensation to the bereaved family . A delegation of the journalist submitted a memorandum to East Champaran DM Anupam Kumar in this regard .
ChandraBhushan Pandey, president of the club,while strongly condemning the cold blooded murder of Siwan journalist said the murder of journalist was a threat to the freedom of media. The cases of killing of journalist have not been taken to logical conclusion and are languishing in various courts, he said and added this murder had triggered panic among journalists .
The members of media for border harmony at Raxaul, East Champaan, too expressed shock over the murder of Rajdeo Ranjan and appealed to mediapersons to get united in the process of delivering justice to the victim family. The Birgunj press club of Nepal members expressed its sympathy with the members of bereaved family and
urged the government to give adequate compensation to the family.
Dr Sanjay Jaiswal and Rama Devi, both MPs, condemned the murder of Rajdeo Ranjan and demanded CBI inquiry
to punish the real culprits . They alleged that journalist was killed at the behest of a ganglord presently
lodged in jail .
