Jhikeri Siphon breached in 30 m width due to heavy rains

Bagaha : Jhikeri Siphon over Done branch canal near Barawakhurd village in West Champaran district breached in 30 metre width on July 11, 2019,  evening, following heavy rains in the catchment area of rivers originating from Swameshwar hills. The flood water is gushing fast towards adjoining villages.

Six villages have been affected by the flood. More villages are likely to be inundated if the rain in the catchment area continues. Block Development Officer (BDO), Bagaha-2 block, Pranav Kumar Giri, and Circle officer (CO) Rakesh Kumar immediately visited the spot.
