Ranchi (Jharkhand) :  Ranchi District Administration has sealed the entire Hindpiri area of Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, for next 72 hours after a woman of the locality tested Coronavirus (COVID-19) positive on April 6, 2020.

The medical report of the woman  was declared on April 6 by Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS), Ranchi. The lady is also from the same locality from where the first Coronavirus positive case, a Malaysian woman, was found in the state. This information was given by Ranchi DC R M Ray and Senior SP Anish Gupta at a joint presser on April 6 evening. DC Ray informed that the entire Hindpiri locality has been quarantined for next 72 hours and door to door contact screening is being done by medical team members.

This is the fourth case of Coronavirus positive patient from Jharkhand. The first COVID-19 positive case from Ranchi was followed by a male from Vishnugarh (Hazaribagh) and later a woman from village Telo in Bokaro District tested positive and now another from Ranchi has tested positive.
