Ranchi( Jharkhand) : Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das on July 31, 2017, convened a high level meeting ith Chief Secretary (CS) Rajbala Verma and Director General of Police (DGP) D K Pandey at his office where he directed the duo to check sale of illegal liquor in the state.
CM Das directed all district officers concerned including Deputy commissioner and SPs to ensure that illegal liquor is not sold right from village to township level and if the illegal sale report is found to be true the Officer Incharge of police station concerned will be suspended while action will be taken against district officials as per law.
Dad asked the CS and DGP to keep a close watch on the sale of liquor and directed Excise Secretary Avinash to remain alert and get confidential report from all districts every month. The chief minister made it clear that if any lapse is noticed at any level, law will take its own course adding that help of village panchayat should also be taken to check sale of illegal liquor.
