Ranchi (Jharkhand) : Taking all precautions after his Cabinet Minister Mithilesh Thakur ( drinking water and sanitation) and senior JMM MLA Mathura Mahto tested Corona positive, Jharkhnd CM Hemant Sorry has opted for home quarantine till all medical tests are conducted. The CM house has been closed for any outsider.
Highly placed sources in the state administration informed this scribe that Mithilesh Thakur and Mathura Mahto have tested Covid–19 positive. The test was conducted by Ranchi and Dhanbad doctors respectively. As the chief minister had met these two leaders separately on July 3 and July 4, 2020, taking no chance, he has gone for home isolation.
A total of 3,056 persons have tested Corona positive in Jharkhand of which 22 have died till date while 2,014 patients have recovered.
On July 7, 2020, 28 persons including 23 mediapersons, four cops, and JMM MLA Mathura Mahto had tested positive to Covid–19.
