Patna : A Jehanabad court on February 6, 2018, sentened to life imprisonment 11 accused in a murder case lodged in the year 2000. The fast-track court of judge, Jehanabad, Ram Vinod Singh sentenced the 11 convicts, all residents of village Nahalpur under the Parasbigha police station in Jehanabad district, for killing Sogni Bind on January 1, 2000.
According to the FIR lodged by Sheikh Bind, one of the brothers of the deceased, he and Sogni Bind, along with another sibling Ujna Bind and his wife Seetapati Devi, were attacked with bricks and stones by the convicts in a dispute. All the four were seriously injured in the attack and Sogni, who was referred to Patna Medical College Hispotal (PMCH) succumbed to his injuries.
