JD(U) regrets Mulayam sabotaged efforts to unite socialist family,rules out alliance with Cong

Patna: the JD(U) on Thursday regretted Samajwadi Party (SP) president Mulayam Singh Yadav sabotaged efforts to unite the socialist family in the country. The JD(U) will fight the UP assembly elections against SP nominees, said Bihar unit president of the party Bashistha Narain Singh.
Singh said in 2015 Mulayam Singh Yadav had backed out of the Grand Alliance in Bihar assembly electionsr and now he again let the Samajwadi family alliance down. He said though the initiative for Grand Alliance in UP was initiated by Shivpal Yadav, UP head of SP, but his elder brother and national president of the party declared his party would contest the UP elections alone.
Singh clarified the JD(U) poll strategist in UP, Prashant Kishore, had met Mulayam Singh and Akhilesh Yadav on his own. There was no direction from the JD(U) president. He also admitted Sharad Yadav had called on AICC president Sonia Gandhi after Shivpal met him not on instructions of Nitish who had authorised party secretary general K C Tyagi only for such negotiations. He said neither the JD(U) president nor secretary general attended the SP’s silver jubilee celebrations on November 5. Samjwadai Party had fielded its candidates against Grand Alliance candidates in Bihar assembly elections.
Singh said his party was still negotiating with RLD’s Ajit Singh for seat sharing in UP and some smaller parties are likely to be associated but there would be alliance with the Congress.

Union minister of state for medium and small scale industries Giriraj Singh on Thursday said Mulayam Singh Yadav had exposed the TRP of Nitish Kumar who had been visiting UP for the last one year.
