JD(U) MLC goes underground,Rocky taken on police remand

Gaya: The suspended JDU MLC Manorama Devi, mother of Rakesh Ranjan Yadav alias Rocky Yadavwho arrested by Gaya police on charges of killing a 19-year-old student Aditya Scchdeva in a road rage case, has gone underground since Tuesday following registration of a case under the Bihar Excise Act and Prevention of Chid Labour Act against her . Police on Wednesday detained the cook and a domestic servant of Yadvas.They told the police “Madam was not available since Tuesday noon.She had said she was going to meet Saheb(her husband Bindi Yadav who is also in jail).

A team of police and administration led by sub-divisional magistrate of Gaya on Wednesday visited the house of the ruling party legislator and sealed it .Six bottles of foreign made liquor were found from the house during a search on Monday evening by City SP.The house is owned by Manorama Devi who has been prosecuted under section 47 of the Bihar Excise Act which prohibits possession of liquor following a total prohibition imposed last month.

Senior SP of Gaya Garima Malik said district police obtained a arrest warrant of the legislator from Gaya court .She would be arrested, the SSP said.. The MLC’s husband and son are in Gaya central jail.

The Yadavas had engaged children as domestic workers and district labour officer registered a case under the child labour(prevention) Act against the legislator.
District police on Wednesday withdrew the security guards provided to the legislator following arrest of one of her securitymen on Saturday night when her son had fired on Aditya at Rampur when the student had tried to overtake MLC’s son’s SUV.Three jawans of district police were provided as security to the legislator. Meanwhile, police on Wednesday took on remand Rocky Yadav for two days to interrogate him and take him to the spot where crime took place.
