Jansadharan Exp rams tractor-trolly, traffic retored after 2 hours

Bagaha: Jansadharan Express (16529) rammed a soil laden tractor-trolley near rail level crossing 28C between Chamua and Harinagar railway stations on Narakatiaganj-Gorakhpur section under Samastipur Division of East Central Railway (ECR), Hajipur, around 11am on May 17, 2017. Railway Traffic Inspector, Narakatiaganj, Mohammad Kalim said that the accident was took place when the tractor-trolley was engaged in earth filling work for doubling the rail track.

The speeding train suddenly dashed the trolley when it was unloading the soil closed to the railway track. An eyewitness said that the tractor-trolly driver was talking on Mobile connecting earphone and could not hear the train whistle. The impact of the collision was so severe that the trolley was completely smashed and its driver fled away after the incident. The train resumed its jouney only after the engine was changed. The traffic was restored on  on the rail section after two hours. No casualty was reported.
