Mzaffarpur : City Commissioner, Muzaffarpur Municipal Corporation (MMC), on June 28, 2017, said that an inquiry will be held into the alleged irregularity worth Rs 20 lakh in the purchase of Dustbins by the corporation. The matter came on surface during the meeting of Solid Waste Management Committee recently rocking the municipal body.
While Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) had purchased Dustbins at the rate of Rs 130 each, MMC purchased it at the rate of Rs 210 per piece. The MMC has to purchase one lakh more Dustbins. The MMC Mayor has so far remained silent on the matter. But, Deputy Mayor Man Mardan Shukla has said that corruption would be checked at any cost.
