Sitamarhi: The residents of village Amanpur under Choraut block in Sitamarhi district are very happy as a fellow villager and 1986 batch IPS officer Ram Pravesh Thakur has been appointed DGP, Andhra Pradesh (AP). Joyous scene was witnessed at the village on July 1.
Till June 30, 2018, evening, Thakur was DG, Anti Curruption Wing of AP police. He is commonly known as RP in his department. Thakur completed his matriculation from Babhangama High School under Riga Block in Sitamarhi district and B.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering) from IIT Kanpur. His father is a retired Auditor. The village youth are inspired by his feat and achievements.
