Ara : Some unidentified armed persons shot dead an Intermediate student at a place between Karazaa Bazaar and Rajpur Mor under Bahoranpur police outpost (OP) in Bhojpur District in South Bihar in the wee hours on November 25, 2021. The miscreants firstĀ strangulated him and and then pumped bullet into his body. Later, they put a live cartridge into his pocket and escaped from there.
The deceased was identified as Vikas Kumar Thakur, 19, son of Kamlesh Thakur of village Gaura under Bahoranpur OP. Police rushed to the place of occurrence and brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. An FIR has been lodged with Bahoranpur OP in connection with the incident and police are investigating the matter.
Bhojpur SP Vinay Tiwari said that some unidentified armed miscreants shot dead an Intermediate Student Vikas Kumar Thakur and added that police are conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. He said that police would arrest the miscreants at the earliest.
Umesh Kumar, brother of the deceased and a teacher at High School, Paharpur, said that Vikas Kumar Thakur was an Intermediate student at his school but he lived in a rented house at Jagdeonagar under Nawada PS, Ara, along with his three friends for coaching. He had not come to the village for about one- and- a- half-month. He said that someone on November 25 morning informed him from the mobile phone of the deceased that Vikas Kumar Thakur had been killed. He and other family members started searching him and found his body lying on Rajpur Mor and informed police.
SHO Satyendra Kumar Satyarthi reached the spot and recovered one .315 caliber live cartridge from the pocket of the deceased. Umesh Kumar said that Vikas Kumar Thakur had an affair with a girl of village Navranga and he allegedly had some tiff with her family members some days ago. An FIR was also lodged against him in this connection with Bihia PS. Vikas Kumar Thakur had sent his relatives for compromise but meanwhile he was killed.
