Patna: Except for Ruby Rai, topper of Intermediate arts examination , 2016, the remaining 13 toppers appeared for tests and interview at the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on Friday afternoon. BSEB chairman Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh said management of Vishnudeo Rai College, Bhawaganpur, Vaishali, informed the board that she was ill and would come for interview after she recovers. However, Saurabh Shresth, science topper from the same college, came for test and interview .
Singh said board would take action against Ruby including cancellation of her certificate and mark-sheet. The Board had issued notices through newspapers asking all the 14 toppers to appear for test on Friday.
The students came to the board office with their parents and appeared for tests and interview at the seminar hall where 15 experts from different subjects were present and gave different sets of questions to the toppers. They later individually interviewed the toppers whose merit came under doubt following an exposure on a national TV channel about their poor knowledge . One of the toppers had claimed political science subject teaches cooking. Answer- sheets of the students of Vishnudeo Rai College were sent to an evaluatiion centre at a school at Rajendra Nagar here while those of other centres in Vaishali district were sent to Kaimur district.
