Inter-state gangster Anil Singh arrested in Buxar with accomplice

Buxar : Police, on a tip off, on October 15, 2017, arrested an inter- state mafia don Anil Singh, son of Rajeshwar Singh of village Singhauli under Dalmianagar police station, and his accomplice Binod Singh of Vishwambharpur village under Natwar police station in Rohtas district, from Mahadah area under Buxar Muffassil police station. Police arrested them on the charge of  stealing oil from the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) pipeline. A number of criminal cases of kidnapping, murder, burglary, loot are lodged against Anil Singh with different police stations in Bihar, Jharkhand, UP and MP.

Buxar SP Rakesh Kumar said that oil from the IOCL Barauni pipeline was stolen from different places on September 8 and September 24, 2017. The thieves had brought oil tanker with themselves for stealing oil but since police were alert, they fled away leaving the tanker behind. The SP formed a police team led by ASP Shaishav Yadav that conducted raids at different places. On October 15, police were informed that two persons had come to Mahadah and the police team immeditely arrested them. They were identified as Anil Singh and Binod Singh.

Anil Singh, during interrogation, confessed before police that he entered the world of crime at the age of 18 and had committed theft in a factory at Dalmianagar in Rohtas district and was arrested and sent to jail. After his release from the jail, he committed several crimes in Bihar, Jharkhand, MP and UP and now his  gang is involved in oil theft, Anil said.

The SP said that Anil Singh, Binod Singh and others were wanted in the kidnapping of Tilak Prasad Gupta in Satna in MP and an engineer from Tenughat in Jharkhand, owners of Chauarasia Jewellers and Alankar Jewllers at Dehri-on-Sone in Rohtas, assault at Chandauli in UP, besides kidnapping of an engineer and murder of Harvansh Mukhia in Bokaro in Jharkhand . The SP stated that they had kidnapped Dr Shashi Bhushan from Bikramganj in Rohtas district but had to free him under political and police pressure.

The SP  said that Anil Singh and other members of his gang have amassed huge wealth and added that he would write to the Economic Offence Unit (EOU) for the seizure of their property.
