Patna : World No 5 and 2013 World Champion Ratchanok Intanon, 24, Thailand, beat reigning Olympic Champion and three-time former World Champion  Carolina Marin, 26, Spain, in a three-game slugfest in the final lasting 80 minutes to win the women’s singles title at Daihatsu Indonesia Masters, an HSBC BWF World Tour Super 500 event,  at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Indonesia, on January 19, 2020.

Intanon beat Carolina 21-19, 11-21, 21-18 in the final to win the title. Intanon won 53 rallies in the match to 58 by Carolina, the World No 10. She won consecutive points in the match to 6 by the Spaniard. Intanon now leads leads Carolina 7-4 Head to Head.
