New Delhi : India logged 37,154 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours taking the tally of cases recorded so far in the country to 3,08,74,376 at 8 am on July 12, 2021. On the other hand, a total of 39,649 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 3,00,14,713 on July 12, 2021, recording more than 3 crore total recoveries across the country so far in a significant milestone . The Recovery Rate (RR) of Covid-19 patients increased to 97.22% in India on July 12, 2021, showing a sustained increasing trend.
India’s Active Caseload further dropped to 4,50,899 on July 12, 2021, a decline of 3,219 in last 24 hours. Active cases now constitute 1.46% of total cases. Weekly Positivity Rate was 2.32% in the country on July 12 while the Daily positivity rate was 2.59%, less than 3% for 21 consecutive days.
India registered 724 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 4,08,764 in the country on July 12, 2021, including 1,25,878, 35,835 in Karnataka, 33,418 in Tamilnadu ,25,015 in Delhi, 22,698 in Uttar Pradesh, 17,916 in West Bengal, 16,186 in Punjab, 14,586 in Kerala, 13,478 in Chhattisgarh, 9,618 in Bihar, 7,339 in Uttarakhand, and 5,119 in Jharkhand, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
Meanwhile, India’s cumulative vaccination coverage has exceeded 37.73 crore. A total of 37,73,52,501 vaccine doses have been administered through 48,51,209 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am on July 12, 2021. Altogether 12,35,287 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours in the country.
