New Delhi : On a continued downward slope, India’s Active Caseload further declined to 16,35,993 on June 4, 2021, less than 2 lakh for 8th successive day, a drop of 77,420 cases in last 24 hours. India logged 1,32, 364 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours taking the tally of cases recorded so far to 2,85,74,350 cases at 8 am on June 4, 2021, maintaining the continued declining trend of daily new cases in the country.
On the other hand, a total of 2,07,071 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in last 24 hours in India, down from 2,31,456 Covid-19 patients declared cured on June 3, taking the tally to 2,65,97,655 on June 4, 2021. The country recorded more daily Recoveries than Daily New Cases for 22nd consecutive day on June 4, 2021.
The country has administered 22.41 crore Vaccine Doses so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive. More than 1.93 crore Covid Vaccine doses (1,93,95,287) are still available with the States/UTs to be administered, according to Union Health Ministry figure. The Weekly Positivity Rate is currently at 7.27% in the country.
India also recorded 2,713 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the tally to 3,40,702 in the country on June 4, 2021. The recovery rate (RR) of Covid-19 patients improved to 93.08 % in India on June 4, 2021. The case fatality rate in the country was 1.19% on June 4, 2021.
