Patna : Indian Women’s cricket team led by Harmanpreet Kaur on February 24, 2018, defeated South Africa led by Dane van Niekerk by 54 runs in the 5th T20I at Cape Town, South Africa, winning the  five-match T-20I series 3-1. The fourth match of the series was washed out due to rain.

India made 166/4 in 20 overs riding on 62 including 3 sixes by Mithali Raj and 44 by Jemimah Rodriguez, 17. It was Mithali Raj’s 13th T20I fifty and third in the series. South Africa were all out for 112 runs with Rumeli Dhar, Shikha Pandey and Rajeshwari Gaikawad taking  three wickets each. Mithali Raj was declared Player of the Match and Player of the Series.

Indian Women’s team had already won the three-match ODI series 2-1. So it was a double series win for the team on South Africa Tour.
