India score 387/5 in 2nd ODI against WI, Rohit & Rahul hit tons

Patna : India scored 387/5 in 50 overs in 2nd ODI against West Indies (WI) at Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India, on December 18, 2019, with openers Rohit Sharma and Lokesh Rahul scoring centuries and Shreyas Iyer scoring a brilliant half-century. Rohit and Rahul added 227 runs for first wicket.

Superhit Rohit Sharma, the Hit-Man, scored 159 in 138 balls with 17 fours and 5 sixes, his 28th ODI century including 7 tons in 2019, while Lokesh Rahul scored 102 in 104 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes, his 3rd ODI century. And then came the blitzkrieg by Iyer- Pant duo. Pant scored 53 in 32 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes while Pant scored 39 in 16 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes. Kedar Jadhav scored an unbeaten 16 in 10 balls with 3 fours.

Rahul fell to Alzarri Joseph making it 227/ while Captain Virat Kohli fell to WI captain Kieron Pollard for a duck and it was 232/2. Rohit fell to fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell making it 292/3. Rohit added 60 runs with Iyer for the third wicket.With his 159 runs on December 18, Rohit has scored 1,404 runs in ODIs in 2019.  Iyer and Pant 73 runs for the 4th wicket. Pant fell to Keemo Paul making it 365/4. Iyer fell to Cottrell making it 373/5.
