Manikchowk ( Sitamarhi ) : India scored a competitive 265 runs in 50 overs in 3rd ODI against West Indies (WI) on February 11, 2022, at narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, as middle order batters Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant added 110 runs for the 4th wicket after the fall of first three wickets for only 42 runs after 9,3 overs. Captain Rohit Sharm (13), Virat Kohli (0), and Shiljar Dhawan (10) returned failed to give a solid start to their team.India won the tos and opted to bat.
Iyer fell to Hayden Walsh for 80 in 111 balls hitting 9 fours while Pant also fell to Walsh for 56 in 54 balls with 6 fours and 1 six. Washington Sundar fell to Jason Holder for 33 in 34 balls with 2 fours and 1 six. Deepak Chahar also fell to Holder for 38 in 38 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes. Sundar and Char added 53 runs for 8th wicket. For WI, Jason Holder took 4/34 inn8 overs while Walsh took 2/59 and Alzazri Josekh 2/54.
