Patna : Asked to bat first, India made 202/3 in the first T20 International at Feroz Shah Kotla ground, Delhi, with both the openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma scoring 80 each on November 1, 2017, night. Dhawan took 52 balls to score 80 while Rohit made 80 in 55 balls and were involved in 150 plus run partnership for the first wicket. Hardik Pandya, who came one down before Captain Virat Kohli, was out for duck. Kohli remained unbeaten on 26 hitting two sixes while M S Dhoni was 7 not out hitting a six. For New Zealand, spinner Ish Shodhi took 2/25 wickets.
